RADio Radio.....

Huge thanks to Lion Radio in Guildford for tempting us out of the Igloo and back into daylight. It was good to attempt something other than mixing and even though there was enough rust around to sink a Mazda the spark is definitely still there....

Paul got to play 3 songs (he even remembered the words to about one and a half of them!), and Mandy Worrell went easy on us in the interview...Lion Radio is the station available to all those laid up in Guildford hospital (we wish you well) and amazingly our session cured at least two people...they asked to be discharged immediately...can't think why.

We hope to return in the spring and play some songs off the new album...

THE New ALBum

Yep, that's what I said...Having been away for large parts of the year finding time to mix has not been easy but we've only got a couple of songs to go before we can master the thing, which could hopefully mean a possible spring 2009 release.

We still need to record a massed choir of some description to complete the links for the album (don't ask) so watch this space for an announcement about how we plan to do this - all those taking part will get a name check on the album so don't forget to register with our info service if you want to receive the e-mail telling you where and when this incredible recording event will take place...

And Finally,

Check out the new downloads on the forum page - one each for the purveyors of FIVE THIRTY and the Orange Deluxe - the first is a very early demo of a song requested all the way from Australia by Mr Andrew Sheehan (the one and only) without whom all our lives would be greatly impoverished - we wish you well sir, love to your growing family...

A big thanks to Rob Bassett, the keeper of the archive who has just rung up to say he has found alternative mixes of 13th Disciple that have never seen the light of day and he's also had some success tying to track down live versions of the songs from Vodka Doughnuts and Dole (for which there have been a number of requests) of which there are very few as this was around the time he spent six months in hospital recovering from spinal surgery - sadly for Rob this was not in Guildford so no Radio lion to keep him company. As some of you may remember Rob actually broke his back playing in goal for Blur in a 5 a-side competition, which somewhat put the mockers on the OD's second album release - by the way, he's still waiting for his grapes boys...

My Space

For those of you who haven't yet visited our My Space site yet, it's available at www.myspace.com/eskimoproject You can also register here for the diary blog. There are also now FIVE THIRTY www.myspace.com/fivethirty530 and ORANGE DELUXE www.myspace.com/funkygroovefish sites on my space that are worth checking out if you get a chance.

New album demos

In response to a number of requests from those of you who are following the Diary page we've placed some more recent and relevant album demos on the music page. Remember they're just very rough demo mixes with guide vocals but they should help make sense of some of Eskimo's ramblings.

Eskimo Cocktail

For those of you who didn't make it to the album release party and haven't yet had a chance to sample the delights of our own cocktail, now's your chance. The recipe's listed below and we guarantee that 'Yellow Snow' will brighten up even the dullest of office parties. Go on give it a try…

Yellow Snow (Eskimo Kiss)

Vodka
Kahlua / Tia Maria
Half & Half / Milk and Cream
A float of Amaretto

It tastes something like a screaming orgasm
